Musical score writers David Ford and Phil Ryan had written a complete opera based on Georges Du Mauriers story “Trilby”.
Our brief was to package and create a brand that would act as a calling card for talent, collaborators and investors.
Firstly we changed the name to the more powerful and catchy “Gothpera”, and linked it in a lockup with the line “Where dreams come to die”. We updated the storyline, from the 1830’s to the future. Where mobile phones are frowned on, in most theatres, we integrated them into a seamless experience for the audience. It started before they even bought a ticket.
